The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) is an internationally-recognized standards developing organization. Headquartered and incorporated in the United States of America, SMPTE has members in over 80 countries on six continents. SMPTE’s Engineering Documents, including Standards, Recommended Practices, and Engineering Guidelines, are prepared by SMPTE’s Technology Committees. This Standards Administrative Guideline forms an adjunct to the use and interpretation of the SMPTE Standards Operations Manual. In the event of a conflict, the Operations Manual shall prevail.
This Administrative Guideline provides templates for Engineering Documents.

NOTE 1 — When using the HTML workflow for an Engineering Report or Registered Disclosure Document, parts of the document that are not easily edited as HTML can be included as an additional element as defined in SMPTE AG-26
NOTE 2 — This clause does not currently apply to other Documents types: Advisory Note (AN) and Overview Document (OV). Support in the HTML tooling for those Document types may come at a later date.
